Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS, HSM, S3, RDS, backup
strategies and server cloning to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work on the design,
implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our network infrastructure, cloud services, and security
systems. This position requires proficiency in managing cloud-based systems and handling critical network
functions while ensuring the highest levels of system availability, security, and disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Network Management & Support:
o Design, implement, and manage the network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and reliability.
o Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues in both on-premise and cloud environments.
o Implement and monitor networking best practices, including routing, switching, VLANs, and VPNs.
• AWS Cloud Infrastructure:
o Administer AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM, to ensure efficient cloud resource management and optimization.
o Design and manage scalable and cost-efficient cloud architectures, leveraging AWS cloud resources.
o Implement network connectivity solutions (VPN, Direct Connect) for hybrid cloud setups.
• Linux Systems Administration: Manage and maintain Linux-based systems. Perform system updates, patch management, and performance tuning
• Security and Compliance (HSM, Encryption):
o Manage and configure HSM (Hardware Security Module) systems to ensure data protection, key management, and compliance with security policies.
o Implement and manage encryption protocols for data-at-rest and data-in-transit, ensuring AWS S3 buckets, RDS instances, and other cloud storage are secure.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery:
o Design and implement backup strategies using AWS tools (e.g., S3, Glacier) and on-premise solutions.
o Regularly test and document disaster recovery plans for critical applications and systems.
o Perform routine backup and recovery operations for RDS databases and EC2 instances, ensuring data integrity and system uptime.
• Server Cloning & Virtualization:
o Clone server environments, including EC2 instances and other virtualized systems, for testing, development, or disaster recovery purposes.
o Develop and automate server cloning processes using AWS CloudFormation, EC2 Image Builder, or other automation tools.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
o Work closely with DevOps, System Administrators, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with cloud infrastructure.
o Prepare and maintain documentation for network configurations, security policies, and operational procedures.
o Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Technical Skills:
o Strong expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs).
o Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, particularly S3, RDS, EC2, VPC, and IAM.
o Proficient in configuring and managing HSM including key management and encryption practices.
o Solid experience in data backup, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning using
AWS or on-premise solutions.
o Experience with server cloning technologies and tools like EC2 Image Builder, CloudFormation, and automation scripts.
• Certifications:
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (Preferred)
o AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (Preferred)
o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent (Preferred)
o Other relevant certifications in Networking, Cloud, or Security (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CISSP, etc.)
• Experience:
o 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and cloud infrastructure management.
o Demonstrable experience working with AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC configurations.
o Knowledge of HSM and cloud-based encryption services.
o Experience in designing, implementing, and testing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Nagios, Zabbix) to ensure system performance and availability.
• Experience in hybrid cloud environments or multi-cloud architectures
